100SQM BRERA

Milan, IT, 2016

Refurbishment of a 1940s apartment on the edge between the old city center of Brera and the new City of Porta Volta.

The design breaks the traditional plan of the house to open the spaces in a more modern way, while keeping the original 4 meters height of ceilings and the arched doors shape.

All the floor are covered by solid oak planks  with the only exception of the bathrooms where new designed Azulejos by Mutina© are mixed with original 1920s hexagonal shaped "cementine", all contributing at creating a refined and cozy feeling.
